Install your eSIM at home on Wi-Fi, a day or two before you fly. Keep the QR code email handy.
iPhone
- Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM.
- Choose Use QR Code and scan the code from your email.
- Label the new line “HBsim” and keep your main line for calls and iMessage.
- When you land: Settings → Cellular → turn on HBsim, set it as Cellular Data, and enable Data Roaming on it.
Samsung / Android
- Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager (or Network & internet → SIMs) → Add eSIM.
- Scan the QR code from your email.
- When you land: set HBsim as the mobile data SIM and turn on roaming for it.
Troubleshooting
- No signal? Turn airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off.
- Still nothing? Make sure Data Roaming is on for the HBsim line and that it is selected for mobile data.

Do not delete the eSIM from your phone while you still need it; a deleted eSIM usually cannot be reinstalled.
